An Act To Provide Law Enforcement And Animal Control Officers The Authority To Remove A Dog Or Cat From A Motor Vehicle If The Dog Or Cat Appears To Be In Imminent Danger Of Suffering, Disability Or Death Due To Extreme Weather Conditions Or Other Circumstances; To Require The Law Enforcement Or Animal Control Officer To Deliver The Dog Or Cat To A Location For Safekeeping Or Necessary Treatment; To Require The Officer To Take Reasonable Steps To Remove The Dog Or Cat From The Motor Vehicle; To Require The Officer To Leave Identifying Information And Instructions To Be Followed By The Owner To Reclaim The Dog Or Cat; To Provide Immunity From Liability For Any Damages Caused To The Vehicle During The Rescue Of A Dog Or Cat; To Amend Section 11-46-9, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.
