Summary

An Act To Amend Section 43-13-117, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Prohibit An Organization In A Managed Care Program Or Coordinated Care Program Implemented By The Division Of Medicaid From Discriminating Against A Physician Who Is Located Within The Geographic Coverage Area Of The Plan Of The Organization And Who Is Willing To Meet The Terms And Conditions For Participation In The Plan Of The Organization, And From Prohibiting Or Limiting A Qualified Physician From The Opportunity To Participate In The Plan Of The Organization If The Physician Is Willing To Accept The Operating Terms And Conditions, Schedule Of Fees, Covered Expenses, Utilization Regulations And Quality Standards Of The Plan Of The Organization; And For Related Purposes.
