Summary

An Act To Amend Section 23-15-297, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase The Candidate Fees For Sheriff, Chancery Clerk, Circuit Clerk, Tax Assessor, Tax Collector, County Attorney, County Superintendent Of Education, Board Of Supervisors, County Surveyor, County Coroner, Justice Court Judge And Constable From One Hundred Dollars To Two Hundred Fifty Dollars; To Amend Section 23-15-299, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The First One Hundred Dollars Of The Fee Shall Remain With The County Executive Committee Or The County Election Commission, As Appropriate, And The Remaining One Hundred Fifty Dollars Shall Be Retained By The Circuit Clerk To Be Used On Elections In The County; And For Related Purposes.
