Summary

An Act To Amend Section 45-27-9, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require All Law Enforcement Agencies To Meet The Reporting Requirements Of The National Incident-based Reporting System (nibrs) Of The Uniform Crime Reporting Program Of The Federal Bureau Of Investigation By July 1, 2023; To Stipulate That Law Enforcement Agencies That Fail To Comply With The Nibrs Reporting Requirements Shall Forfeit All State Funding Until Such Time That The Agency Becomes Compliant; To Require The Mississippi Department Of Public Safety To Submit An Annual Report To The Legislature Identifying, By Name, The Number Of Law Enforcement Agencies That Have And Have Not Met The Compliance Requirement; And For Related Purposes.
