Summary

An Act To Amend Section 43-13-117, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Private Fee-for-service Plan Services Shall Be Covered Under Medicaid In A Pilot Program To Be Developed By The Division Of Medicaid; To Provide That The Plans In The Pilot Program Shall Be Available To A Total Of Two Thousand Persons Statewide; To Provide That Persons Must Be Dually Eligible For Medicaid And Medicare In Order To Participate In The Pilot Program; To Provide That The Division Shall Contract With Three Insurance Companies Authorized To Do Business In Mississippi To Offer Private Fee-for-service Plans For Participants In The Pilot Program; To Provide That The Division Shall Conduct The Pilot Program For Three Years; To Provide That At The End Of The Three-year Period, The Division Shall Determine If There Is Any Cost Savings To The Medicaid Program By Using Private Fee-for-service Plans; And For Related Purposes.
