Summary
An Act To Amend Section 69-23-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase The Amount Of The Annual Fee For Registering Pesticides With The Department Of Agriculture And Commerce; To Provide That The Amount Of The Increase In The Fee Shall Be Deposited Into A Special Fund In The State Treasury Known As The "law Enforcement Officers And Fire Fighters Death Benefits Fund"; To Provide That Monies In The Fund Shall Be Expended To Purchase Equipment For Use In Workforce Training By The Public Community And Junior Colleges; To Amend Section 45-2-1, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase The Amount Of The Benefit Paid To The Designated Beneficiary Of A Law Enforcement Officer Or Fire Fighter Killed Or Who Receives A Bodily Injury That Results In The Death Of The Covered Officer Or Fire Fighter Which Occurs While Engaged In The Performance Of The Individual's Official Duties To $200,000.00; And For Related Purposes.
