Summary

An Act To Amend Section 25-61-9, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Mississippi Public Records Act To Require Public Bodies To Give Notice To Third Parties Within Seven Business Days Of Receiving A Public Records Request For The Records Of The Third Party That Contain Trade Secrets Or Confidential Commercial Or Financial Information; To Require The Third Party To Obtain A Protective Order Within The Twenty-one-day Time Period After Filing The Petition For The Protective Order If The Third Party Does Not Want To Release Its Records That Contain Trade Secrets Or Confidential Commercial Or Financial Information; And For Related Purposes.
