Summary

An Act To Amend Section 37-13-134, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Create The Alexander Blouin Mississippi High School First Aid Graduation Requirement Act; To Provide That The State Board Of Education Shall Require An Instructional Component On The Proper Administration Of First Aid Assistance To Be Included As Part Of The Physical Education Or Health Education Curriculum; To Provide That Beginning With The 2017-2018 Ninth Grade Class Of Public High School Students, Certification In First Aid Shall Be A Requirement For Graduation; To Prescribe The Components Of The Curricula To Be Offered In First Aid Instruction; To Define Certain Terms To Be Used In First Aid Instruction; And For Related Purposes.
