Summary

An Act To Amend Section 41-20-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Coordinator Of Mental Health Accessibility Shall Be Housed At The Department Of Finance And Administration; To Provide That All Of The Expenses Of The Coordinator Shall Be Paid Out Of Funds Appropriated To The Department Of Finance And Administration; To Amend Section 41-20-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Staff Hired By The Coordinator Shall Be Subject To The Approval Of The Executive Director Of The Department Of Finance And Administration; To Provide That Any Personal Service Contracts Approved By The Executive Director Of The Department Of Finance And Administration And Entered Into By The Coordinator Through June 30, 2024, Shall Be Exempt From The Rules And Regulations Promulgated By The Public Procurement Review Board; To Amend Section 27-104-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Provision; To Bring Forward Section 41-20-9, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Prescribes The Duties Of The Coordinator And The State Board Of Mental Health When The Coordinator Determines That A County Or A Geographic Area Within A County Offers Inadequate Mental Health Services, For The Purposes Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
