An Act To Provide That A Qualified Elector Who Wishes To Register To Vote May Register On The Day Of The Election And Then Proceed To Cast His Or Her Vote At The Proper Polling Place; To Provide The Location To Conduct The Registration On Election Day; To Provide The Identification Required To Be Presented In Order To Register To Vote On Election Day; To Provide The Procedures That Poll Managers Shall Implement When A Person Registers To Vote On Election Day; To Provide That Election Day Registration Ballots Shall Be Treated The Same As Absentee Ballots For Certain Purposes; To Authorize The Secretary Of State To Promulgate The Necessary Rules And Regulations To Effectuate Same Day Voter Registration; To Amend Sections 23-15-11, 23-15-13, 23-15-35, 23-15-37, 23-15-39, 23-15-41 And 23-15-125, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Provisions Of This Act; To Bring Forward Section 23-15-153, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For The Purpose Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
