Summary
An Act To Amend Section 45-33-45, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Certain Notification Be Provided By The Department Of Corrections To A Registered Victim When A Sex Offender Is Within 1500 Feet Of The Victim; To Provide That The Family Of A Victim Who Has Registered For Notification Shall No Longer Be Provided Certain Notification; To Specify That Law Enforcement Is To Be Notified When An Offender Is Within A Certain Prohibited Range Of A Victim's Residence; To Remove The Requirement That A Certain Vendor Provide Certain Notification To The Department Of Public Safety Or To Local Law Enforcement; To Provide That The Department Of Corrections, Rather Than Law Enforcement, Shall Investigate Reports Of A Monitored Subject's Noncompliance; And For Related Purposes.
