Summary

An Act To Amend Section 47-5-949, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Department Of Corrections To Provide An Offender Who Is Housed At The Walnut Grove Correctional Facility With Remedial Classes If The Offender Fails A Subject Prescribed Under Adult Basic Education; To Require The Department To Provide Additional Classes In The Areas Of Science, Technology, Engineering And Mathematics If An Offender Has His Or Her High School Diploma Or High School Equivalency Diploma Equivalent; And For Related Purposes.
