Summary

An Act To Amend Section 37-21-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase The Base Salaries Of Assistant Teachers By The Amount Of One Thousand Dollars Beginning With The 2016-2017 School Year, To A Total Of Fifteen Thousand Dollars In Addition To The One Percent Increase To The Base Salary Established For Assistant Teachers For Each One Percent That The Sine Die General Fund Revenue Estimate Growth Exceeds Five Percent; To Amend Section 37-9-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For A 20% Increase To The Pay Rate Of Noninstructional Employees Of Public School Districts Who Have A Minimum Of One Year Of Service, And Who Serve In Auxiliary Capacities As Cafeteria And Custodial Personnel, To Be Effective At The Start Of The 2016-2017 School Year; And For Related Purposes.
