Summary
An Act To Authorize The Governing Authorities Of The City Of Columbia, Mississippi, To Levy A Sales Tax Of Not More Than 3% Upon The Gross Proceeds Of Sales Of Hotels And Motels Derived From Room Rentals And Upon The Gross Proceeds Of Sales Of Restaurants For The Purpose Of Providing Funds To Promote Local Parks And Recreation As Well As Economic Development; To Require An Election Be Held On Whether Such Tax May Be Levied; And For Related Purposes.
