Summary

An Act To Provide That The Department Of Finance And Administration Shall Establish Annual Goals For Service-connected Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Participation In State Contracts And Procurements; To Provide That In The Letting Of Public Contracts, Whenever All Things Stated In The Bids Are Substantially Equal With Regard To Quality And Service But Differ Only With Respect To Price, Preference Shall Be Given To Certified Service-connected Disabled Veteran-owned Small Businesses If The Aggregate Of The Prices In Bids Received From A Certified Service-connected Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Is Not More Than Ten Percent Greater Than The Aggregate Of The Prices In Bids Received From Other Bidders; To Bring Forward Section 31-7-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Provides Certain Bid Requirements Relating To Public Purchases, For The Purposes Of Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
