Summary

An Act To Create The Mississippi Support Our Law Enforcement And Safe Neighborhoods Act Of 2012; To Set Forth Legislative Intent And Short Title; To Require Cooperation And Assistance In Enforcement Of Immigration Laws And To Indemnify Law Enforcement Officers For Implementation Of This Act; To Require Public Schools To Determine The Status Of Enrolling Students; To Prohibit Illegal Aliens From Entering Into Business Transactions With The State; To Amend Section 99-3-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform The Arrest Without Warrant Statute; To Amend Section 71-11-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For Retention Of E-verify Confirmations For At Least Three Years; To Create The Special Fund To Be Known As The Immigration Reimbursement Fund; To Authorize All Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers To Assist Federal Agencies In Enforcement Of Immigration Law; To Require The Board Of Public Contractors To Review Contractor Compliance With E-verify Requirements; To Provide For The Dissemination Of Information Regarding Employment Opportunities; To Provide For Severability, Implementation And Construction; And For Related Purposes.
