Summary

An Act To Create The "healthy And Safe Families Workplaces Act" To Ensure That Employees In Mississippi Can Address Their Own Health And Safety Needs, As Well As The Health And Safety Needs Of Their Family Members, By Requiring Employers To Allow Employees To Earn A Minimum Level Of Paid Leave Time Including Time To Care For Their Family Members And Allow For Ease And Uniformity Of Administration For The Business Community In Providing Paid Leave For Their Employees; To Provide For Definitions And Exemptions; To Establish The Minimum Paid Sick And Safe Leave Time; To Provide For The Use Of Paid Sick And Safe Leave Time; And For Related Purposes.
