Summary

An Act To Amend Sections 83-39-25 And 83-39-31, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase The Fee Percentage Charged And Collected For Bonds Posted By Professional Bail Agents And Required By The Clerk Of The Court Upon A Defendant's Appearance By One Percent; To Provide That The Additional One Percent Collected Shall Be Deposited Into A Special Fund Created In The State Treasury For The Mississippi Department Of Mental Health; To Create The Mississippi Department Of Mental Health Bonds Sustainability Fund In The State Treasury For The Purpose Of Providing Additional Capital For The Operating Costs Of The Department Of Mental Health; And For Related Purposes.
