Summary

An Act To Amend Section 37-61-33, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Prohibit The Legislature From Diverting Classroom Supply Funds For Other Purposes; To Provide That The Amount To Be Appropriated For Classroom Supplies Shall Be Appropriated From The State General Fund And Transferred To School Districts No Later Than September 1 Of Each Fiscal Year; To Provide That Monies Deposited Into The Educational Enhancement Fund During The Fiscal Year Then Shall Be Transferred To The General Fund As Reimbursement For The Disbursements To School Districts For Classroom Supplies; To Require The State Auditor To Make An Annual Audit Of The Allocation And Expenditure Of Those Funds By The State Department Of Education; And For Related Purposes.
