Summary

An Act To Amend Section 37-13-91, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require Schools To Submit A Daily Report Of Absences To The School Attendance Officer; To Require The School Attendance Officer To Make Immediate Contact With The Parent, Guardian Or Custodian Of Each Compulsory-school-age Child Who Was Absent From School; To Require The School Attendance Officer To Discuss The Importance Of Regular School Attendance And Warn The Parent, Guardian Or Custodian Of The Long-term Consequences Of Absences By The Student; And For Related Purposes.
