Summary
An Act To Provide That The Address Of The Most Recent Homestead Exemption Filing Shall Be The Address Of Residence For A Qualified Elector For Purposes Of Voter Registration, Verification Of An Elector's Voting Precinct Or Any Change Of Voting Precinct; To Amend Section 23-15-11, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Address Of The Most Recent Homestead Exemption Filing Shall Be The Address Used To Determine Where A Qualified Elector Shall Be Registered To Vote; To Amend Sections 23-15-13 And 23-15-47, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Appropriate Official To Use The Address Of The Most Recent Homestead Exemption Filing To Verify Residence For Purposes Of This Section; To Require The Secretary Of State To Clearly State On The Voter Registration Form That The Address Of The Most Recent Homestead Filing Shall Be Used As The Address Of Residence For Voter Registration; And For Related Purposes.
