Notice of Proposed Rule Change

 

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Missouri House of Representatives, Ninety-sixth General Assembly, First Regular Session, that Rule 104 be amended to read as follows:

 

Rule 104. The majority of those present, not under arrest, may make an order for the censure or fine of delinquent members, and prescribe the terms under which they shall be discharged. Any member who removes himself or herself from the state of Missouri during a regular session of the House for the purpose of avoiding any official duty or vote shall be subject to a fine for each legislative day of his or her delinquency and such fine shall be not less than the average legislative daily salary paid to the member. The average legislative daily salary shall be calculated by dividing the annual salary of the member by the number of calendar days in the year. Any member removing himself or herself in the same manner during a special session of the House shall be subject to an equivalent fine by equivalent calculation.

 

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of Representatives be instructed to prepare a properly inscribed copy of this resolution.
