AN ACT

To amend chapter 632, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to reimbursement for the transport of persons to and from mental health facilities.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 632, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 632.312, to read as follows:

            632.312. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 105.452 to the contrary, a sheriff may receive reimbursement for the actual costs of transporting a person to and from a mental health facility pursuant to chapter 632 from a public or private hospital, not-for-profit charitable organization, the state, or a political subdivision.
