AN ACT

To amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the designation of lupus awareness month.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 9.154, to read as follows:

            9.154. The month of May of each year shall be known and designated as "Lupus Awareness Month" in Missouri. It is recommended to the people of the state that the month be appropriately observed by educating themselves on the symptoms and impact of lupus and to support programs of research, education, and community service.
