AN ACT

To amend chapter 227, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the designation of the new Mississippi River bridge.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 227, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 227.421, to read as follows:

            227.421. The new bridge carrying Interstate 70 over the Mississippi River connecting downtown St. Louis and southwestern Illinois shall be designated the "William Lacy 'Bill' Clay Sr. Mississippi River Expressway Bridge". The department of transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs designating such bridge, with the costs for such designation to be paid for by private donation.
