AN ACT

To amend chapter 610, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to public records.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 610, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 610.037, to read as follows:

            610.037. 1. Except as provided in subsection 2 of this section, upon the written request of any person to a public governmental body to withdraw his or her personal identifying information from a website which is open to the public, the public governmental body, which owns, operates or maintains the website, shall immediately withdraw any personal identifying information regarding such person from that website.

            2. The provisions of subsection 1 of this section shall not apply to any website designed to disseminate information to the public concerning registered criminal offenders.
