AN ACT
To amend chapter 288, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to paid family leave.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 288, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 288.399, to read as follows:
288.399. Any business in this state who employs more than one hundred employees shall provide to its employees four weeks of paid family leave for the birth of a child of the employee or because of the placement of a child with the employee for adoption. As used in this section, "business" means any individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability company, corporation or any other entity that is legally doing business in this state. "Business" shall not include any department, agency, or instrumentality of the state or a political subdivision of the state.
