AN ACT

To amend chapter 253, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to campsite capacity limits.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 253, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 253.565, to read as follows:

            253.565. The allowable and acceptable occupancy on one campsite in a campground in any Missouri state park shall be as follows:

            (1) A maximum of four sleeping units, only one of which may be wheeled, and one additional non-sleeping mode of transportation vehicle; and

            (2) A maximum of ten people per campsite, unless the group is indivisible. For purposes of this section, the term indivisible shall mean a group of persons, campers, tents, and vehicles that cannot be reasonably divided to occupy more than one campsite such as parents or guardians with minor children or dependents or a single motorized camper with its occupants.
