AN ACT

To amend chapter 304, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to traffic control signal violations.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 304, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 304.850, to read as follows: 

            304.850. 1. In jurisdictions utilizing automated photo red light enforcement systems, any fine collected for a red light violation shall go to the local school district where the infraction occurred and shall not be distributed through the school funding mechanisms of section 163.031.

            2. For purposes of this section, "automated photo red light enforcement system" means a device consisting of a camera or cameras and vehicle sensor or sensors, installed to work in conjunction with a traffic control signal.
