AN ACT

To amend chapter 475, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to petitions for guardianship of minors.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 475, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 475.072, to read as follows:

            475.072. By January 1, 2015, the Missouri bar association, in consultation with the office of state courts administrator, shall develop a form petition for the appointment of a guardian for a minor to be used in uncontested guardianship cases. The form petition shall meet all the requirements of subsection 1 of section 475.060.
