SB 762 - This act modifies provisions of current law that require suicide prevention information to be printed on the identification cards of public school students in grades 7-12 and of students enrolled in public institutions of higher education. The act adds to such information the phone number of campus security for college students and, for students in grades 7-12, the non-emergency phone number of the local police department. For both college students and students in grades 7-12, the identification cards may also include the phone number of the Crisis Text Line and the phone number of a local suicide prevention hotline, if such hotline is available. The provisions of the act shall take effect on July 1, 2025.
