1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Jordan Ferry of St. Michael, Minnesota, for earning the rank of Eagle
1.3Scout.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.7that is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Jordan Ferry is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and has displayed the
1.9attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.10WHEREAS, Jordan has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills, has completed a
1.11community service project, which involved organizing a team to stain and repair a deck and
1.12completing a landscaping project for Cornerstone Options for Women in St. Michael, and has
1.13fulfilled all other requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle Scout on November 8, 2021;
1.14and
1.15WHEREAS, Jordan, who has autism spectrum disorder, will graduate from St.
1.16Michael-Albertville High School in the spring of 2022. He is working with the school, the State of
1.17Minnesota, and Functional Industries on post-high-school employment opportunities; and
1.18WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and
1.19NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.20congratulates Jordan Ferry for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.21BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.22copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.23Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Jordan Ferry.
