1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Conrad Stenglein for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.4WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.5that is worthy of recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, Conrad Stenglein is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 711 and has
1.7displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.8WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community
1.9service project, which involved rebuilding 12 fire ring pits at Smokey Timbers, a nonprofit camp
1.10that is owned and operated by senior citizens and that suffered storm damage last year; and
1.11WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on November 22, 2014, at 1 p.m.; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.13congratulates Conrad Stenglein for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.14BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.15copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.16Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Conrad Stenglein.
