1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Connor Magrum of Annandale, Minnesota, for receiving
1.3the Eagle Award.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.6that is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Connor Magrum is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 354 and has
1.8displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, Connor Magrum, the son of Jim Magrum and Jessica Otto-Magrum and the
1.10grandson of Jim and Sandy Otto and Colleen and the late Spike Magrum, has demonstrated
1.11mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community service project, which involved
1.12restoring a trail at the Annandale Conservation Club used in gun safety training courses, including
1.13clearing brush and trimming trees, replacing a bridge over a stream, adding cement steps on both
1.14sides of the stream, and building a mock fence; and
1.15WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor was held on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at
1.16Annandale Conservation Club; and
1.17NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.18congratulates Connor Magrum of Annandale, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.19BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.20copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.21Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Connor Magrum.
