1.1A Senate resolution
1.2recognizing Dixie Randall as a 2019 Isanti County Outstanding Senior Citizen.
1.3WHEREAS, those who give selflessly of their time and energy to help others in need by
1.4volunteering perform a valuable service deserving of special legislative recognition; and
1.5WHEREAS, the Isanti County Outstanding Senior Citizen award recognizes outstanding
1.6senior citizens who have contributed their time and talent to benefit their community; and
1.7WHEREAS, Dixie Randall makes a difference in her community through her passion for
1.8public service by volunteering for the American Red Cross; the American Association of University
1.9Women; Hands All Around Quilting; Knit Wits Club; Sons of Norway; Isanti County Emergency
1.10Planning Council for Isanti, Kanabec, and Pine Counties; Alice Studt Library; Braham Area Schools
1.11Dollars for Scholars; the Empty Bowl project for the Braham Food Shelf; and numerous other
1.12organizations; and
1.13WHEREAS, Ms. Randall was involved with planning the Braham Event Center and was
1.14inducted into the Braham Hall of Fame in 2000 as recognition for her dedication to improving the
1.15quality of life in Isanti County and she serves as a role model to the women who know her; and
1.16WHEREAS, she will be honored at the Isanti County Fair on July 25, 2019, with a celebration
1.17at the Isanti County Historical Society Building; and
1.18NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.19congratulates Dixie Randall on being named a 2019 Isanti County Outstanding Senior Citizen and
1.20extends its gratitude for her service to her community.
1.21BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.22enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.23Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Dixie Randall.
