1.1A Senate resolution
1.2recognizing students during National Student Employment Week.
1.3WHEREAS, students who work while pursuing college degrees develop skills and
1.4discipline that will assist them throughout their lives; and
1.5WHEREAS, student employment serves as an educational experience, provides an
1.6alternative to financial aid, and prepares students for future careers; and
1.7WHEREAS, employers appreciate the flexibility and enthusiasm student employees
1.8provide; and
1.9WHEREAS, the week of April 9-15 has been proclaimed National Student Employment
1.10Week at the University of Minnesota Duluth; and
1.11NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.12recognizes working students for their contributions to their employers, schools, and communities.
1.13BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.14an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.15the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the University
1.16of Minnesota Duluth.
