1.2proposing an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution, article XIII, by adding a
1.3section; defining the term "person."
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.
1.6An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution, article XIII, is proposed to the people.
1.7If the amendment is adopted, a new section will read as follows:
1.8Sec. 13. Whenever the word "person" is used in this constitution, it means a natural
1.9person.
1.10 Sec. 2. SUBMISSION TO VOTERS.
1.11The proposed amendment must be submitted to the people at the 2012 general
1.12election. The question submitted must be:
1.13"Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to define "person" to mean natural
1.14person?
