1.3appropriating money to design and construct improvements to the Mayo Civic
1.4Center Complex in Rochester.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. MAYO CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX.
1.7 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $37,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the
1.9city of Rochester to design, construct, furnish, and equip the renovation and expansion of
1.10the Mayo Civic Center Complex and related infrastructure, including but not limited to
1.11skyway access, lighting, parking, and landscaping.
1.12 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in subdivision 1 from
1.13the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and
1.14issue bonds of the state in an amount up to $37,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms,
1.15and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and
1.16by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.17EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
