1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Pioneer and Soldiers
1.3Cemetery restoration; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. PIONEERS AND SOLDIERS CEMETERY RESTORATION.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $1,900,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7fund to the Minnesota Historical Society for a grant to the city of Minneapolis to restore
1.8the historic steel and limestone pillar fence along Cedar Avenue and Lake Street, install a
1.9new steel fence and pillars along 21st Avenue South, and install a waterproofing system
1.10for preservation of the fence and pillars, at the Pioneer and Soldiers Cemetery.
1.11    Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.12bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.13bonds of the state in an amount up to $1,900,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.14the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.15Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.16EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
