1.2relating to health; providing an exemption from using a licensed well contractor;
1.3proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 103I.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. [103I.206] EXEMPTION FOR CERTAIN REPAIRS.
1.6Notwithstanding any contrary provisions in this chapter, individuals living in a
1.7community with no licensed or registered well contractor within 25 miles may use a
1.8licensed plumber to work on repairs of submersible pumps and water pipes associated with
1.9well water systems. No penalties shall be assessed licensed plumbers who do these repairs.
