1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.5$310,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, is appropriated from the general
1.6fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to Advocating Change Together
1.7(ACT) to maintain and promote services for persons with intellectual and developmental
1.8disabilities throughout the state. Of this appropriation:
1.9(1) $120,000 is for direct costs associated with the delivery and evaluation of
1.10peer-to-peer training programs administered throughout the state, focusing on education,
1.11employment, housing, transportation, and voting;
1.12(2) $100,000 is for delivery of a variety of statewide conferences focusing on
1.13leadership and skill development within the disability community; and
1.14(3) $90,000 is for administrative and general operating costs associated with
1.15managing or maintaining facilities, program delivery, staff, and technology.
