1.2relating to education finance; removing an obsolete reference;amending
1.3Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 126C.10, subdivision 2b.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 126C.10, subdivision 2b, is amended to
1.6read:
1.7 Subd. 2b. Gifted and talented revenue. Gifted and talented revenue for each
1.8district equals the district's adjusted marginal cost pupil units for that school year times
1.9$12for fiscal year 2008 and later. A school district must reserve gifted and talented
1.10revenue and, consistent with section120B.15 , must spend the revenue only to:
1.11 (1) identify gifted and talented students;
1.12 (2) provide education programs for gifted and talented students; or
1.13 (3) provide staff development to prepare teachers to best meet the unique needs
1.14of gifted and talented students.
