1.2relating to tribal-state compacts; requiring compliance; requiring reports;
1.3amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, sections 3.9221, by adding a subdivision;
1.4299L.07, by adding a subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 3.9221, is amended by adding a
1.7subdivision to read:
1.8 Subd. 6. Compliance. The governor shall annually report to the legislature the
1.9state of relationships with Minnesota tribal governments, with respect to all negotiated
1.10compacts, and shall report any deviations from compliance with those compacts on the
1.11part of the state.
1.12 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 299L.07, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.13to read:
1.14 Subd. 12. Annual inspection report. The commissioner shall annually report to
1.15the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction
1.16over gambling the results of all inspections of gambling machines, devices, and game
1.17conduct allowed or required under compacts negotiated with tribal governments under
1.18section 3.9221.
