1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for construction of the Lewis

1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. LEWIS AND CLARK JOINT POWERS BOARD; CONSTRUCTION
1.6OF RURAL WATER PROJECT.
1.7 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $69,180,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8fund to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the Lewis and Clark Joint Powers
1.9Board to acquire land or interest in land for, and to design, engineer, and construct
1.10pipeline and other facilities and infrastructure necessary to complete, the Lewis and Clark
1.11Regional Water System Project.
1.12 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.13bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.14bonds of the state in an amount up to $69,180,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.15the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.16Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.17EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
