1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Laws 2011, First Special Session chapter 3, article 1, section 4, is amended
1.6to read:
1.8This appropriation is from the general
1.9fund for transit system operations under
1.10Minnesota Statutes, sections473.371 to
1.11473.449
.
1.12Of this appropriation, $140,000 in each
1.13fiscal year is for transit service for disabled
1.14veterans under Minnesota Statutes, section
1.15473.408, subdivision 10
.
1.16The base appropriation is $64,889,000 for
1.17fiscal year 2014 and $64,970,000 for fiscal
1.18year 2015.
1.19Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section
1.20473.388, subdivision 4
, in each year of the
1.21biennium fiscal year 2012, the Metropolitan
1.22Council shall provide financial assistance to
1.23transit providers under Minnesota Statutes,
2.1section473.388 , in an amount that is
2.2$1,650,000 less than the amount of assistance
2.3that was provided to transit providers by the
2.4Metropolitan Council in fiscal year 2011.
2.5Funds not transferred as a result of this
2.6rider are available for use by the council for
2.7metropolitan transit operations.
2.8EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
