1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for flood relief for the city of
1.3Maynard; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. MAYNARD FLOOD RELIEF.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $1,875,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7fund to the commissioner of natural resources for a flood hazard mitigation grant under
1.8Minnesota Statutes, section 103F.161, to the city of Maynard to increase the height of a
1.9berm and for other publicly owned capital improvements to prevent or alleviate flood
1.10damage.
1.11    Subd. 2. Appropriation. $1,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund
1.12to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of Maynard, under Minnesota
1.13Statutes, section 446A.072, to reconstruct sewer lines.
1.14    Subd. 3. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.15bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.16bonds of the state in an amount up to $2,875,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.17the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.18Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
