1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. [137.0253] APPROPRIATION; MEN'S HOCKEY REQUIREMENT.
1.7$800,0000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Board of Regents of the
1.8University of Minnesota in any fiscal year in which at least one men's ice hockey game is
1.9conducted between the University of Minnesota and the University of North Dakota. The
1.10commissioner of management and budget shall release the funds to the Board of Regents
1.11upon certification by the university that a game has occurred, or that the two universities
1.12have agreed by contract that a game will occur during the fiscal year. The outcome of the
1.13game shall not affect the amount appropriated under this section.
