SENATE BILL No. 1078

 

 

April 19, 2012, Introduced by Senator CASPERSON and referred to the Committee on Transportation.

 

 

 

     A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled

 

"Michigan vehicle code,"

 

by amending section 31 (MCL 257.31).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 31. "Motorcycle" means every a motor vehicle having

 

equipped with a saddle or seat for the use of the rider and

 

designed to travel on not more than 3 wheels in contact with the

 

ground. but excluding a Motorcycle does not include either of the

 

following:

 

     (a) A tractor.

 

     (b) An enclosed 3-wheel vehicle that is equipped with safety

 

belts and airbags.
