SENATE BILL No. 663

 

 

December 10, 2015, Introduced by Senator YOUNG and referred to the Committee on Health Policy.

 

 

 

     A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

 

"Public health code,"

 

(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 20174.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 20174. (1) To the extent permitted by federal law, the

 

department of licensing and regulatory affairs, as administrator of

 

nurse aide registration program in this state under 42 CFR part

 

483, shall provide a certified nurse aide a 60-day grace period in

 

which to renew his or her certificate.

 

     (2) As used in this section, "certified nurse aide" means a

 

nurse aide as that term is defined in 42 CFR 483.75.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
