A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled
"Michigan election law,"
(MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding section 482a.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 482a. If an individual is receiving compensation for
circulating a petition described in section 482, the petition shall
indicate that fact and state the name of the individual or
organization providing the compensation on the front of the
petition in 10-point boldfaced type. A petition that complies with
this requirement is not invalid and no sanctions apply solely
because the petition is circulated by an unpaid volunteer.
